William vs. Marie

I took a couple of belly pictures today and thought it would be interesting to compare my Marie belly at 30 weeks to my William belly at around the same time. I definitely carried William a lot higher, which proves the old wives tale wrong. Supposedly women carry boys lower than they carry girls, I am the opposite, of course, my hips spreading when I had William had alot to do with it, I'm sure! I'll take the lower belly though, I certainly don't miss the heartburn that accompanied my pregnancy with William. So, here are the pictures, green shirt is my William belly and red shirt is my Marie belly. I don't know, now that I look at them next to each other, maybe there isn't as noticeable difference as I thought. What do you think?

Step Three: A beautiful bathroom!

Alright, I am finally posting our bathroom in its finished state. I am pretty proud of it, if I do say so myself. To be a bit TLC-ish, I posted a before picture to compare to. I couldn't get the exact same shot of the "after" version because our camera doesn't have a wide enough lens or angle or whatever it is called. Thank goodness for the mirror, so that I could get some good shots still. Anyway, I hope you like it, I certainly do!

Step Two: Primer

I am a bit behind on posting pictures for this project. The paint job is actually finished, I just haven't taken pictures of the finished product yet (our camera batteries are currently recharging). These two pictures are of us putting on the primer. They aren't posed, I swear. ;)

Step One: Tape, tape, and more tape!

I have wanted to post pictures of our house for sometime now, but it just isn't to the picture taking stage yet. There are still little bits and pieces and odds and ends that need to be done in order to make every room somewhat complete. So, in the interim, I thought I would just update on the progress. One of our current projects is the hall bathroom. That mint n' chip green just had to go! So, we are painting. We have the tape up, now the fun really begins . .

Notice the way cute shower curtain? Notice how badly it clashes with the green wall? Now you know why we have to paint.

More Precious Moments

It's late and I need to go to bed, but I had to post these pictures. I caught William and Brandon watching T.V. together and luckily William stayed there long enough for a photo shoot. I just have one question though. Why is it that whenever I am sitting or laying on the couch William just tries to use me as a jungle gym?

Heritage Days

Our trip to California has come and gone and was absolutely fantastic! We took so many pictures and it is way too overwhelming for me to deal with those right now. So, instead, I will share a few pictures from the following weekend. The week after the 4th of July was Heritage Days here in our hometown. Every evening they had a fair with rides and all that jazz. Brandon and I thought we would let William get his first taste of amusement park rides. He, of course, loved anything with a steering wheel. Although he was too stunned by it all to smile, he really did have a good time, and so did we!

The other two pictures are just some special moments I was privileged enough to witness. The first picture, Brandon was singing William his bedtime song and William kept asking for things, first his blue bear, next his brown bear, and finally his blanket. Once he was so cuddled up you could hardly see him, he was willing to sit still for the song.

And the last picture is William giving Brandon some tips on how to fix the water filter under the sink. He looks like he knows what he is talking about, doesn't he?
