We arrived in Simi on Friday, July 12th. Sara, Rebecca, Dan and Genni were already there and we were all anxiously awaiting the staggered arrivals of Dave's family, Rachel and the girls(Cory had to stay home and work), and Stephen's family.
These boys both have moms that shop at Carters. We couldn't resist this photo shoot. The air mattress is a fitting background, as they were scattered all over the house that week. Thirty people in one house will cause that.
As we bided our time through the weekend we got reacquainted, or newly acquainted in the case of the orange lads above, with our cousins.
Sara made some homemade pizza, much to the dismay of our house full of kids.
William really did enjoy his dinner. Don't be fooled by the above picture.
Samuel and Grandpa bonded over water.
We visited our favorite local park and fed the ducks ... and pigeons ... and geese. This picture makes it look like Sam enjoyed feeding the ducks. Mostly, he just wanted to climb into the pond and screamed when we didn't let him.
No bread allowed at California parks. Grandpa stopped at the pet store and picked up a large bucket of bird seed for the masses of children to feed the masses of birds.
Silly girl.
William and Mary are just two months apart in age. William tolerated her (quite nicely, actually) until his "favorite cousin" arrived.
Anne needs a significant amount of down time in her day. Grandpa was happy to oblige.
And when Ethan finally arrived on Saturday, the boys wasted no time before climbing into the orange trees in Grandma and Grandpa's backyard.
